Família Margaça produces authentic Alentejo wines in Pias, honoring over fifty years of family winemaking tradition and local agricultural heritage.
The producer
Founded in 1973 by José Veiga Margaça in Pias, Serpa, the producer originally established the Sociedade Agrícola de Pias to bring viticulture and employment to the local region.
Over five decades later, the family continues to safeguard the authenticity of Pias, a village famed across Portugal for its distinct winemaking identity.
Following a major strategic evolution in 2020 under the third generation, the producer brought its flagship brands, including asPias, Encostas do Enxoé, and their premium Família Margaça range, under one unified identity.
Operating across extensive vineyards in the warm Alentejo interior, the winery combines deeply rooted traditions with modern single-plot projects to showcase the true character of its terroir.
