2021 – Arribas do Douro Red Superior

Arribas do Douro Red Superior comes from old vineyards planted on schist soils between Freixo de Espada à Cinta and Barca d’Alva, in the rugged Douro Superior. Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cão, this 2021 DOC Douro red is hand-harvested, carefully vinified by variety and vineyard, and aged six months in French oak. It shows ripe red fruit, spice, elegant vanilla notes, firm tannins, concentration, and the powerful character of the Douro Superior.
