2022 – Escultor

Escultor Red comes from Monte do Pintor in Igrejinha, Arraiolos, where tranquil Alentejo vineyards grow on gentle south-facing slopes with nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year. The label’s original winemakers, Francisco Pimenta and Professor Colaco do Rosario, were also behind Portugal’s renowned EA, Cartuxa, and Pera-Manca wines. Made from Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Petit Verdot in exceptional years, it ages 12 months in new French oak and 18 months in cellar, showing complex notes of jam, cocoa, licorice, silky tannins, and long persistence.
